FAQ's About Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood
Q: What is Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood?
Cea is pure, concentrated ocean water that provides a highly complex source of macro and trace minerals in the form and ratios provided by nature that are readily compatible with the body's requirements. It's a simple and convenient way to supplement your everyday mineral nutrition and boost hydration.
Q: How do I use Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood?
Cea can be used every day as a delicious food seasoning to add flavour and nutritional value to your meals. It replaces dry salt in your kitchen. Spray onto salads, roast vegetables, fish and meat or squirt into stir fries, sauces, soups and casseroles. Kids love it, and it's a great way to ensure they get a natural supply of minerals.
Mineralise your drinking water by adding a couple of sprays of Cea to a glass of water. Ocean minerals replenish the body's electrolytes and aid in maintaining optimum hydration.
Cea also has antibacterial and antiviral properties so it makes a good throat spray if you're attempting to ward off colds and flu. Many viruses and bacteria simply can't survive in ocean water.
Q: Spraying your food is strange, isn't it?
Actually it's very hygienic and convenient. You can use Cea in food preparation and it also sits well with casual home dining. Always replace the clear plastic cap to ensure the nozzle is kept clean, moist and in good working order. If the nozzle does become clogged simply rinse under warm water.
Q: Why do you call Cea a superfood?
A superfood is a low process, natural and uncontaminated food that has a high or complex nutrient profile and is readily absorbable. Cea is certified organic, nutrient rich and its liquid form means minerals are immediately absorbed.
Q: Why are Cea minerals more readily absorbable than other forms?
The minerals in Cea are in dissolved ionic form, which means they are the most immediately bio-available format for the body to absorb because they require no digestion. Cea minerals will be absorbed through the mouth before even entering the digestive system. Other mineral supplement formats require either dissolution or digestion before absorption. This often takes place in the acid fluids of the stomach, which can prohibit some useful mineral combinations.
Q: Where does Cea come from?
The concentrated 'maiden' brine used in the production of Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood is sourced from the pristine waters of the Coral Sea. Being the site of the largest World Heritage area, the Great Barrier Reef, Cea Products is acutely aware of the need to protect this unique natural environment. For this and other reasons, Cea Products is a supporter of Greenpeace.
Q: How is Cea concentrated?
Cea is concentrated at ambient temperatures through a vast network of shallow ponds using solar evaporation to produce the maiden brine. Cea is about 10 times the concentration of natural ocean water.
Q: Hasn't sea water got fish, seaweed and other stuff in it?
Although sea water used in the production of Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood comes from a pristine source it is still tested for any signs of contamination. It is then purified and energised using our unique process of microfiltration, flow-form oxygenation and ozonisation. The resultant crystal-clear liquid is tested again to ensure quality and purity.
Q: Why can't I just get ocean water from the beach?
You can, but without water analysis testing and microfiltration you really don't know what you're getting. The sea water needs to be concentrated for optimum mineral levels and stove top or high temperature evaporation has proven to be problematic. Cea Products tests all batches of their ocean water concentrate, before and after filtering, to ensure the highest standards of water quality and to comply with Australia's Organic Certification standards.
Q: What's the difference between Celtic sea salt and Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood?
Celtic sea salt is sourced from the North Atlantic Ocean, adjacent to the English Channel, in one of the most densely populated and industrialised regions of the planet. The drying ponds are open to both known and unknown atmospheric and environmental contamination, and the drying process itself, prior to any washing of the salt, naturally separates and leaches out various minerals and alters the basic mineral ratios. Any further washing or refining degrades the salt completely and destroys certain beneficial mineral combinations, such as magnesium bicarbonate, that only occur in their natural aqueous state, and are therefore completely lost in the drying process.
Cea, on the other hand, is sourced from the Coral Sea and analysis confirms the ocean water quality surpasses Australia's strict Organic Certification standards. Cea's liquid form retains all the natural goodness of the ocean's life-giving elements in their original dynamic water matrix.
Q: If table salt comes from the ocean, why can't I mix it with water and get the same result?
You can but you'll only get sodium and chloride instead of the 84 naturally-balanced macro and trace minerals contained in Cea. Table salt, like other dry forms of salt, has lost its valuable mineral content through the drying and refining process. The conventional, dry salt most people consume is an extracted industrial chemical that has been stripped of all associated minerals. Our bodies are fooled into consuming conventional salt but (from a mineral nutrition perspective) are left malnourished by it.
Is the high sodium chloride content of Cea a concern?
People on a prescribed low-sodium diet should seek medical advice before using Cea. Otherwise, Cea's sodium ratio is balanced by the ratios of the other complex macro and trace minerals such as magnesium and potassium, which buffer the effects of sodium in the body. The consumption of sodium that is naturally balanced within the complex mineral structure of ocean water allows the body to maintain or restore its dynamic equilibrium without straining internal reserves.
Q: Who's idea was it to utilise natural sea water as a source of minerals?
To our knowledge this product is unique, worldwide. Paul Anthony Jones, director of Cea Products, is the innovator of Cea Ocean Mineral Superfood and has a patent on the process.
